Honest Taskers, Intrepy, and Officite lead this year's shortlist of Google Business Profile specialist companies, nine firms ranked on how they claim and verify profiles for every provider and location, fix the duplicates splitting your reviews, keep hours and services accurate, and post and answer questions so the profile stays active. For a local practice the profile usually outranks the website, which makes neglecting it the most expensive free thing in healthcare marketing.
Disclosure: Honest Taskers publishes this list and appears at position 1. We're judged on the same five published criteria as every other company here.

How we chose the best Google Business Profile specialist companies
Profile work is maintenance, not a project, so we assessed the ongoing tasks. That means claiming and verifying every location and, in healthcare, every practitioner profile, merging or removing duplicates, keeping hours, services, and insurance details accurate, publishing posts, answering the questions section before someone else does, uploading current photos, and monitoring the reviews that attach to each profile.
From there we compared five things, which are whether listings or local search work is a named service, product type, healthcare focus, published pricing, and patient data posture. Two firms name listings management explicitly, which are Intrepy with both physician and business listings and Practice Builders with practice listing management, and three name local SEO, which are Healthcare Success, MedResponsive, and Officite through its local work. That naming matters because profile management is often assumed rather than contracted.
For the rules that apply to what a profile can claim, the Federal Trade Commission publishes the advertising substantiation and review requirements, and the Department of Health and Human Services publishes the privacy guidance that constrains replying to a review or a question referencing someone's care. On the in-house side, the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics May 2025 Occupational Employment and Wage Statistics reports a national median of $37.87 an hour for market research analysts and marketing specialists, about $78,760 a year.
Which profile problems does a specialist check that nobody else does?
Healthcare has a structural quirk that other local businesses don't. Google supports individual practitioner profiles as well as practice location profiles, so a four-physician clinic can legitimately have five profiles, and each accumulates its own reviews and ranking. Most practices know about one of them.
The consequence is that reviews scatter. A practice with 60 reviews on paper may present as four profiles with 15 each, none of which looks established, while a competitor with 40 on a single profile appears stronger. Merging what should be merged and properly maintaining what should stay separate is usually the single highest-return action available, and it costs nothing but attention.
Duplicates make it worse. Old profiles from a previous address, a former practice name, or a departed physician linger with wrong hours and no owner, and patients call them. Any vendor worth hiring starts with an audit that lists every profile bearing your name or your providers' names, not just the one you already manage. If a proposal skips that step, it's selling posts rather than fixing the problem.

1. Honest Taskers
Best for: practices that need profiles genuinely maintained weekly rather than set up once.
Pricing: $10.00–$12.65/hrType: Placed coordinatorLocation: US clients; PH, LatAm, India and Pakistan recruitingFirst hire: Two-week working trial
Honest Taskers names marketing among its four service categories and places a healthcare-trained coordinator to do the work, which fits profile management well because the task is small, recurring, and easy to let slip. A coordinator can audit every profile carrying your name, keep hours and services correct, publish posts, answer the questions section, upload photos, and flag reviews for response, all inside accounts you own. Candidates train on HIPAA and data privacy under a dedicated compliance officer and sign a Business Associate Agreement when they'll access PHI, with compliance verified by Accountable, which matters because profile questions and reviews often contain clinical detail. Rates run $10.00 to $12.65 an hour with a two-week working trial on the first hire.
Limitation: profile and listings work isn't broken out as a named service publicly, so confirm scope in the interview.
2. Intrepy
Best for: multi-provider practices whose individual physician profiles are inconsistent or unclaimed.
Pricing: Not publicly listedType: Agency retainerScope: Physician listings, business listings, medical SEOScale: Since 2014; 40+ subspecialties
Intrepy names physician listings management and business listings management as separate services, which is precisely the distinction healthcare needs and almost nobody else on this list makes explicitly. For a practice with several providers, unclaimed or inconsistent practitioner profiles are usually where local visibility and scattered reviews are being lost. It works exclusively with private practices across 40-plus subspecialties and pairs listings with medical SEO, so profile accuracy feeds the local rankings rather than sitting in isolation.
Limitation: no pricing is published and no patient data or HIPAA posture is stated.
3. Officite
Best for: practices wanting profile and local visibility handled with the website and forms.
Pricing: Not publicly listedType: Agency plus softwareScope: SEO, reputation, websites, PPC, socialScale: 8,000+ practices since 2011
Officite covers SEO and reputation management alongside medical website design, pay-per-click, social media management, online scheduling, and HIPAA-compliant email and forms. Profiles and websites work together in local search, because inconsistent details between the two undercut ranking, and having one vendor own both removes that mismatch. More than 8,000 practices use its websites and it is a recommended provider for ACFAS and ASGE, which is external validation worth noting in a category full of unverifiable claims.
Limitation: Google Business Profile management isn't named as a separate service, and pricing sits behind a packages page.
4. Healthcare Success
Best for: multi-site organizations where local search is one part of a wider plan.
Pricing: Not publicly listedType: Agency retainerScope: Local SEO, SEO, paid search, reputation, PRScale: 1,000+ healthcare clients since 2006
Healthcare Success names local SEO explicitly within a channel mix that also covers paid search, programmatic display and connected TV, content marketing, reputation management, and public relations, working exclusively in healthcare since 2006 with more than 1,000 clients. For an organization with several locations, local search is a genuine planning problem rather than a maintenance task, since locations compete with each other in the map results and that needs deliberate handling. It names HIPAA-protected call tracking, relevant when profile calls are being measured.
Limitation: no pricing is published, and this scale of engagement exceeds what single-site profile maintenance requires.
5. Practice Builders
Best for: practices wanting listings cleaned up by a long-standing medical specialist.
Pricing: Not publicly listedType: Agency retainerScope: Practice listing management, reputation, SEO, websiteScale: Since 1979; ~16,000 practices
Practice Builders names practice listing management as a service alongside reputation management, and that pairing is the right one, because duplicate and inaccurate listings are what split reviews across profiles in the first place. It has worked exclusively with medical practices since 1979, reporting nearly 16,000 practices served, and also serves dental, chiropractic, and veterinary practices. Its enquiry form accepts monthly budgets from under $400, suggesting a listings-focused engagement is possible without a full retainer.
Limitation: it states no HIPAA or patient data posture despite the exclusive healthcare focus.
6. MedResponsive
Best for: practices wanting local SEO work alongside a website rebuild.
Pricing: Not publicly listedType: Agency retainerScope: Local SEO, SEO, content, PPC, web developmentScale: Operating since 2002
MedResponsive names local SEO as a service alongside general SEO, content writing, pay-per-click, social media marketing, and full web and application development, with a copyright dating from 2002. The development capability is the differentiator, since local ranking depends partly on site structure and page speed, and a firm that can rebuild the site as well as tune the profile addresses both halves rather than optimising around a weak website.
Limitation: profile management isn't named specifically, healthcare is one vertical of several, and no compliance posture is stated.
7. Tebra
Best for: independent practices wanting search visibility tracked inside their practice software.
Pricing: Not publicly listedType: Software platformScope: SEO performance tracking, reputation, websitesFocus: Independent practices
Tebra tracks SEO performance across Google, Bing, and Yahoo and pairs it with online reputation and patient review management inside the platform that also runs records, billing, and payments. The advantage is that review generation and visibility tracking sit next to the system that knows a visit happened, so profile reviews accumulate without a separate workflow. It names independent practices and specialties including primary care, pediatrics, and mental health.
Limitation: it reports on visibility rather than managing profiles, so somebody still has to do the maintenance.
8. Cardinal Digital Marketing
Best for: multi-location groups where local search feeds a paid acquisition program.
Pricing: Not publicly listedType: Agency retainerScope: SEO, paid media, websites, analyticsFocus: Multi-location healthcare
Cardinal covers SEO, paid media across Google, Meta, display, video and TikTok, website design, and analytics, working only in healthcare with named strength in multi-location provider groups, DSOs, behavioral health, and veterinary. Its published results include 54% year-on-year lead growth for a veterinary network with more than 400 locations, which is exactly the scale at which profile management becomes a data problem rather than a task. It claims a HIPAA-compliant tech stack.
Limitation: listings management isn't a named service, and it's built for multi-location groups rather than single practices.
9. Neolytix
Best for: small practices adding local visibility work to an existing relationship.
Pricing: Not publicly listedType: Service plus staffingScope: Website design, SEO, marketing servicesSecurity: ISO 27001
Neolytix offers website design and SEO within its healthcare marketing services, alongside revenue cycle, credentialing, and virtual staffing, and publishes explicit small-practice and mid-market tiers. It holds ISO 27001 certification, the strongest documented security position in this group, and reports 270-plus organizations across 31 specialties and 40 states. For a practice already using it for billing, adding local search work keeps the vendor count down.
Limitation: Google Business Profile and listings work isn't named, so confirm whether profile maintenance is included.
What are the risks of outsourcing to a profile specialist?
- Losing ownership. Profiles must be verified under the practice's account, never a vendor's.
- Unfound duplicates. An audit that only covers the profile you know about leaves the damage in place.
- Practitioner profiles ignored. Individual provider profiles carry their own reviews and rankings.
- Wrong hours and services. Inaccurate details generate bad experiences before anyone arrives.
- Replies that confirm care. Answering a review or question can disclose a treatment relationship.
- Suspension risk. Category and name manipulation gets profiles suspended, which is slow to reverse.
- Set-and-forget. A profile that hasn't been touched in a year loses ground to one that's active.
How much does a Google Business Profile specialist cost?
Only Honest Taskers publishes a rate, at $10.00 to $12.65 an hour for a placed coordinator. Every other firm quotes on request, with Practice Builders' enquiry form implying monthly budgets from under $400.
This is the cheapest high-return work in healthcare marketing, and it should be priced to match. The initial audit and cleanup is a one-off project of perhaps ten to twenty hours depending on how many providers and old addresses exist. Ongoing maintenance is genuinely two to four hours a month for posts, questions, photos, and accuracy checks, which lands near $80 to $200 a month at published staffing rates. If a proposal for profile management alone runs into four figures monthly, ask precisely what recurring work justifies it. Rates change, so treat these as dated readings.
What should you look for in a profile specialist company?
- An audit covering every profile bearing your practice or provider names.
- Explicit handling of individual practitioner profiles, not just the location.
- Duplicate identification and a merge or removal plan.
- Verification under your own account, confirmed in writing.
- A maintenance cadence for posts, questions, and photos.
- Reply rules that avoid confirming a patient relationship.
- Reporting on profile calls, direction requests, and website clicks.
- A BAA where reviews or questions containing patient detail are handled.
How do you get started with a profile specialist?
- Search your practice name and each provider's name and list every profile that appears.
- Note which are claimed, which are duplicates, and which carry reviews.
- Confirm the profiles are verified under an account the practice controls.
- Fix hours, services, insurance details, and photos before anything else.
- Merge or remove duplicates, and claim unmanaged practitioner profiles.
- Set a monthly cadence for posts and questions, and rules for replies.
- Review at 90 days on profile calls and direction requests, not impressions.
If the same person could also cover reviews and social posting, the multi-purpose virtual assistant service page explains how one placement covers several gaps.
Methodology and sources
We verified each company at its own website on August 21, 2026, recording whether listings or local search work is a named service, product type, healthcare focus, published pricing, and any stated patient data posture. Advertising and review requirements come from the Federal Trade Commission, and privacy guidance limiting public replies from the Department of Health and Human Services. Honest Taskers names marketing as a service category; profile work isn't broken out, so its entry carries that limitation. Rates are volatile and were captured as dated points. Unpublished facts are marked "not publicly listed" and self-stated claims are labeled company-reported.

Profile maintenance is small recurring work that pairs naturally with review handling and posting, so our multi-purpose virtual assistant service page sets out how one placement can carry all three.
Because profile questions and reviews frequently contain clinical detail, the about page explains the privacy training and compliance model behind the placements described here.
